Landscaping and property work

Landscaping in Brevard County

Not a design studio. A crew with a tractor, a loader and a grapple truck that clears the lot, grades it, lays the sod, plants the trees and hauls what comes out. Commercial frontages, HOA common areas, new builds and large lots, and the residential jobs big enough to need the equipment.

Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Estimates are free and in writing.

What we do

Six landscaping services, all done with our own equipment.

6 of them

  • Hands unrolling a roll of sod
    01

    Sod install and repair

New lawns on graded ground, and patches where a tree came out, a truck sat or the drainage failed.

  • Stone-lined drainage channel through a lawn
    02

    Grading and drainage

Low spots filled, swales cut, water sent where it should go before the sod goes down.

  • Person planting a young tree in a lawn
    03

    Tree planting

Oaks, magnolias, palms and ornamentals, set at the right depth with the root flare showing.

  • Planting beds being worked in a garden
    04

    Bed and property cleanups

Overgrown beds cut back, dead material out, debris hauled, mulch laid. Seasonal or one-time.

  • Tractor in a wooded clearing
    05

    Land clearing and lot prep

Brush, undergrowth and unwanted trees out; stumps ground; the lot left flat and ready.

  • Fresh wood mulch
    06

    Brush hogging and mulch

Acreage mowed, overgrowth mulched in place, and the mulch we make from our own tree work spread on your beds.

Compact loader on a work site

We own the equipment most crews rent, and the companies that hire us for it include Boeing, Amazon and Lowe's.

The ground comes first. Everything planted on bad ground is planted twice.

  • 01

    Water decides the design.

Brevard lots are flat and sandy and the water table is close. Before sod or trees go in we look at where rain sits, where it runs, and where the downspouts dump. Grading and a swale cost less than replacing a drowned lawn.

  • 02

Clearing and grading with our own machines.

The tractor and the loader are ours, so a lot that needs brush out and a grade before it can be landscaped is one estimate and one crew, not a clearing contractor and then a landscaper.

  • 03

Sod laid on ground that was prepared for it.

Old turf and debris out, grade set, soil raked, sod laid tight and rolled, watered in. Repairs are cut to the shape of the damage and matched to the existing grass.

  • 04

Trees planted to live, not to look finished on day one.

Set with the root flare at grade, staked only if they need it, mulched but not volcanoed. A tree planted too deep dies slowly over five years, and a lot of Brevard trees are planted too deep.

  • 05

    The mulch is ours.

Brush and limbs from our tree work are processed into mulch rather than hauled to a dump. It goes on beds and paths and under new trees. Nothing burned, nothing wasted.

Landscaping in Cocoa and the north county.

  • The truck comes from Cocoa.

Port St. John, Cocoa, Rockledge, Merritt Island and Titusville are the home stretch; most of the properties we maintain are here.

  • Commercial and HOA first.

Retail frontages, storage yards, industrial sites and common areas, on a schedule or as a one-time project.

  • Large lots and new builds.

Acreage that needs clearing, grading and sod before it is a yard; builds that need the lot prepped before the slab.

  • The whole county on request.

Melbourne, Palm Bay and the beaches for the right job. Ask.

Our equipment

Landscaping at property scale takes machines most landscapers rent.

These three are what separate a crew that can clear, grade and lay sod on an acre from one that does beds.

  • TR tractor working a Brevard property

    01

    Tractor

    On the job
Brush hogging, grading, pulling, moving material, mulching overgrowth in place.
    Why it matters
The difference between a weekend of hand work and an afternoon.
  • TR giant mini loader moving heavy sections on a job site

    02

    Giant mini loader

    On the job
Moves sod pallets, soil, mulch and debris across a site on tracks, through a standard gate.
    Why it matters
Gets material to the back of a property without a wheelbarrow line or a tire track across the lawn.
  • TR grapple truck loading limbs and debris

    03

    Grapple truck

    On the job
Loads and hauls cleared brush, stumps and old material the same day.
    Why it matters
A cleanup that leaves a pile is half a cleanup.

The stump grinders and the boom lift come when a job has trees in it. Full fleet on the equipment page.

What people ask before a landscaping job.

  • Wide range, because "landscaping" covers a bed cleanup and a full clear-grade-sod-plant job. What moves it: how much clearing and grading the ground needs, the square footage of sod, how many trees and what size, and hauling. We do not publish a per-foot rate; we write an estimate for the property after walking it, free.

  • No. We do the ground and the trees: clearing, grading, drainage, sod, planting, beds, mulch. If your project needs a designer or a hardscape crew, we work alongside them and do our part.

  • The kinds that live here: St. Augustine for most lawns, Bahia for large lots and low-water areas, Zoysia where the owner wants it. We match repairs to what is already there.

  • Yes, and it is the most common sod job we do. Stump ground, grindings cleared, soil brought in, sod cut to the shape and matched.

  • Usually. Most Brevard flooding is a low spot with nowhere to drain. Grading, a swale to the ditch or a dry well, and sod that tolerates wet feet fixes most of it. We look before we quote.

  • Yes, and it is most of what this page is about. Frontages, common areas, storage and industrial yards. One-time projects or scheduled work under the lawn care side.

  • Yes. Oaks, magnolias, palms and ornamentals, set at the right depth. We can also tell you which trees not to plant where; a lot of the removals we do are trees planted too close to something.

  • It depends on the county or city and what is on the lot. We wrote a guide on it. If there are gopher tortoises, the FWC permit is yours to get before we start.

  • Our own tree work. Brush and limbs are processed rather than dumped, and the mulch goes on beds and paths.
