How to choose
Removal, trimming, pruning or stump grinding?
Most calls start with the wrong word, and that is fine. Find the line that sounds like your tree. Still not sure? Send a photo with the estimate request and we will tell you which job it is before we quote.
- The tree is dead, leaning at the house or in the way of a build
- Tree removal
- It is a big oak or pine over the roof, the pool or a line
- Large tree removal
- It is healthy but hangs over the roof, the driveway or the pool cage
- Tree trimming
- You want it shaped, thinned or cleared of deadwood, and it stays
- Tree pruning
- A good tree has a split fork or a heavy limb over the house
- Cabling and bracing
- The tree is already gone and the stump is left
- Stump grinding
- It is a palm with dead fronds or pods
- Palm tree trimming
- It is on the house, the car or the road right now
- Emergency tree removal
Also on the list
Two services that come up on estimate visits
Neither needs a page of its own, but both are part of the job more often than people expect.

Tree planting
When a tree comes out, the next question is often what goes back in. We plant with placement in mind: far enough from the roof, the driveway and the lines that it will not need to come down in fifteen years.

Disease identification
Bark peeling to bare wood, a conk at the base or a crown thinning from the top all mean something. We look at what is wrong with a sick tree and, when it needs a specialist, we bring one in. See the signs a tree is past saving.
The equipment
The machines behind every tree job

62ft Imer boom lift
- On the job
- Puts the saw at the top of the tree without anyone climbing it.
- Why it matters
- Dead, split or storm-loosened wood is not climbed. The lift reaches over roofs, cages and fences from the driveway.

Grapple truck
- On the job
- Lifts trunk sections and whole crowns off whatever they landed on and swings them straight into the truck.
- Why it matters
- The debris leaves with us the same visit, so there is no pile at the curb and nothing to burn.

Giant mini loader
- On the job
- Carries wood and brush out through a side gate or across a lawn.
- Why it matters
- It fits where a truck cannot, which keeps the truck off the turf and the pavers.

What tree services does TR Lawn & Tree offer?
Tree removal, including large, dead, fallen and palm removals, stump grinding, tree trimming and uplifts, pruning, palm trimming, cabling and bracing, tree planting and disease identification. Emergency and storm work has its own page.
How much does tree removal cost in Brevard County?
It depends on the tree, so we price it after we see it. Height, access, what sits underneath and how much has to be hauled move the number. Every job gets a written estimate before work starts.
Is the estimate free?
Yes. We look at the tree, then send a written estimate. Photos sent ahead often settle what kind of job it is.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. TR Lawn & Tree is licensed and insured, and we provide insurance documentation when a customer needs it.
Should I trim the tree or remove it?
If the tree is healthy and the problem is where it reaches, trim it. If it is dead, leaning with lifted roots, or too close to the house to ever be safe, remove it. We will say which on the estimate visit.
What happens to the wood and debris?
It leaves with us on the grapple truck, or it is chipped into mulch. Nothing is burned on your property.
Can you work on a tree near a power line?
Not on anything touching a live line. FPL handles the line first. Once it is safe, we take care of the rest of the tree.
Do I need a permit to remove a tree?
It depends on the city, the tree and the parcel. Dead and hazardous trees are often treated differently from healthy ones. We will tell you which office to check with. The permit is the owner's to pull; we do not file it for you.
Next step
Send a photo of the tree.
One picture of the tree and one of what is under it tells us most of what we need. The written estimate follows a look on site.
