Emergency and storm
Emergency tree removal in Brevard County
A tree on the roof, across the driveway or hanging over the house is not a job for a ladder. TR brings the 62ft boom lift and a grapple truck, takes it down in sections, and the wood leaves with us.
Office hours Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Emergency and storm calls are prioritized ahead of routine work.

Companies that have had TR on their property
Emergency and storm work for homes and commercial sites across Brevard County. The same crew, the same equipment, on a call ahead of routine work.
Six calls we get after a storm
What an emergency looks like from the driveway
Every one of these gets the lift, the grapple and a crew that has done it before. Send photos if you can. It changes what we bring.
01Tree on the house
A trunk or crown resting on the roof or the pool cage. We lift it off in sections from the boom, never by dragging, so the load comes off the structure without moving it.
02Tree across the driveway
You cannot get the car out. The grapple truck picks the trunk up whole or in two pieces and the lane is open before the rest of the tree is dealt with.
03Hanging limb after a storm
A limb split at the crotch and hanging by bark. It will finish falling on its own. We cut it from the lift, from above, so it drops where we want it.
04Tree on a vehicle or fence
The tree comes off the car or the fence without adding a second hit. Sections are rigged and lowered, not dropped.
05Tree touching a power line
Call FPL first. Once the utility has made the line safe, we clear what is left. We do not cut anything that is touching a live line, and we will tell you that on the phone.
06Dead tree leaning after the wind
The root plate lifted and the tree is now leaning at the house. We take it down before the next gust does, from the lift, top first.
How it goes
From your call to a clear driveway
Call, then send photos
A photo of the tree and what it is resting on tells us whether it is a boom lift job, a grapple job or both. Email them to Tim@TRLawnTree.com.
Triage on the phone
We tell you what is safe to leave alone and what is not, and whether a utility or an adjuster needs to be involved before we cut.
Load off first
Whatever is on the house, the car or the fence comes off first, in sections, rigged so nothing shifts on the way down.
The rest comes down
Once the structure is clear, the tree is taken to the ground from the lift. Split and hanging wood is never climbed.
Haul and clean up
The grapple loads it and the loader carries what the truck cannot reach. The wood leaves with us.

When we get there
What to do before the crew arrives
Stay out from under it
A tree that has moved once will move again. Keep people and pets away from anything the trunk is touching.
Photograph everything
Before anyone cuts, take pictures of the tree, the damage and the area around it. Insurance adjusters ask for these.
Leave lines to FPL
If a limb is on or near a wire, call FPL and wait. We do not work on anything touching a live line.
Do not cut the trunk
Cutting a loaded trunk releases the weight in a direction nobody can predict. Leave it for the lift.
The equipment
Why emergency work takes a lift and a grapple, not a chainsaw and a truck

62ft Imer boom lift
- On the job
- Puts the saw at the top of the tree without anyone climbing it.
- Why it matters
- Dead, split or storm-loosened wood is not climbed. The lift reaches over roofs, cages and fences from the driveway.

Grapple truck
- On the job
- Lifts trunk sections and whole crowns off whatever they landed on and swings them straight into the truck.
- Why it matters
- The debris leaves with us the same visit, so there is no pile at the curb and nothing to burn.

Giant mini loader
- On the job
- Carries wood and brush out through a side gate or across a lawn on tracks.
- Why it matters
- It fits where a truck cannot and spreads its weight, which is what keeps turf and pavers whole.

Questions
Emergency tree removal questions
Something not here? Call 321-504-1054 during office hours or book a free estimate.
What counts as a tree emergency?
A tree or limb that is on a structure, a vehicle or a road, one that is hanging and will fall, or one leaning at a house with the roots lifted. A tree that fell in an open yard and is not on anything is urgent, not an emergency, and can usually wait for a scheduled visit.
How much does emergency tree removal cost?
More than the same tree on a scheduled day. Our pricing guide puts storm and emergency work 20 to 60 percent above a planned removal because of the mobilization and the risk of working on loaded wood. Every job gets an estimate before we start, so the number is known up front.
Do you work nights and weekends?
Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Within those hours, emergency and storm calls are prioritized ahead of routine work. If you reach us outside those hours, leave a message and email photos, and we will call you back during office hours.
What should I do if a tree falls on my house?
Get everyone out from under the affected part of the house, photograph the damage, and call us and your insurer. Do not let anyone cut the trunk. It is holding weight in ways you cannot see from the ground.
Will insurance pay for removing the tree?
Often, when the tree damaged a covered structure. Policies differ, and the adjuster decides. Take your own photos before anything is moved and keep the invoice for the claim.
Can you remove a tree touching a power line?
Not while it is touching a live line. Call FPL first. Once the utility has cleared or de-energized the line, we remove the rest of the tree.
Do I need a permit for an emergency removal?
Rules depend on the city and the tree. A tree that has already failed or is an immediate hazard is treated differently from a healthy one. We will tell you what applies where you live. Permits are the owner's to pull; we do not file them for you.
What happens to the wood?
It leaves with us the same visit, loaded by the grapple truck and hauled or processed into mulch. We do not burn on site.
Can you clear the road or driveway first and come back for the rest?
Yes. Getting a lane open is usually the first cut. The rest of the tree can be scheduled if that suits you better.
