Emergency and storm
Emergency and storm tree service in Brevard County
When a tree lands on the house, blocks the driveway or hangs over the roof after a storm, TR brings the 62ft lift and the grapple truck and takes it apart in sections. Before storm season, the same crew takes out the dead wood that would have come down.
Office hours Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Emergency and storm calls are prioritized ahead of routine work.

Before, during and after
Storm work is more than the day a tree falls
These come up on every storm call. Some are ours to do and some are yours, and we will say which.

Storm prep and pre-season trimming
Dead wood, weak limbs and branches over the roof come out before June, and crowns get thinned so less wind reaches them. Palms lose their dead fronds, not their green ones.

Driveway and road clearing
Getting a lane open is usually the first cut. The grapple lifts the trunk off the drive, and the rest of the tree can be scheduled.

Roof and structure clearance
Limbs and trunks come off roofs, pool cages and fences from the lift, lowered on rigging so nothing shifts the structure a second time.

Photos and insurance
Photograph the tree, the damage and the area around it before anything is cut. Adjusters ask for those pictures, and the invoice is written so it can go with the claim. Whether a policy pays is the adjuster's call.
The equipment
Storm work takes a lift and a grapple, not a ladder

62ft Imer boom lift
- On the job
- Puts the saw at the top of the tree without anyone climbing it.
- Why it matters
- Dead, split or storm-loosened wood is not climbed. The lift reaches over roofs, cages and fences from the driveway.

Grapple truck
- On the job
- Lifts trunk sections and whole crowns off whatever they landed on and swings them straight into the truck.
- Why it matters
- The debris leaves with us the same visit, so there is no pile at the curb and nothing to burn.

Giant mini loader
- On the job
- Carries wood and brush out through a side gate or across a lawn on tracks.
- Why it matters
- It fits where a truck cannot and spreads its weight, which is what keeps turf and pavers whole.

What should I do first when a tree comes down?
Get people and pets away from anything the tree is touching, then photograph the tree and the damage. If a line is involved, call FPL. Then call us. Do not let anyone cut a loaded trunk; the weight releases in directions nobody can predict.
Do you work nights and weekends?
Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, and storm calls go ahead of routine work inside those hours. Outside them, leave a message and email photos to Tim@TRLawnTree.com, and we will call you back during office hours.
Will homeowners insurance pay for tree removal after a storm?
Often, when the tree damaged a covered structure. When it fell in open yard and hit nothing, many policies pay little or nothing. Policies differ and the adjuster decides. Keep your photos and our invoice for the claim.
Who handles a tree on a power line?
FPL. We do not cut anything touching a live line. Once the utility has cleared or de-energized it, we take the rest of the tree down.
Can you open the driveway today and come back for the rest?
Yes. Clearing a lane is usually the first cut, and the rest of the tree can be scheduled.
Should I trim trees before hurricane season?
Yes, before June. Dead wood, weak unions and limbs over the roof are what fail first. Thin the crown, do not strip it. Palms keep their green fronds; hurricane cuts weaken them.
How is emergency tree work priced?
Storm and emergency work costs more than the same tree on a planned day. Our pricing guide puts it 20 to 60 percent above a scheduled removal. You get the number before we start.
What happens to the storm debris?
The grapple loads it and it leaves with us, or it is chipped into mulch. Nothing is burned on site.
