Fallen tree removal

Fallen tree removal in Brevard County

A tree that is already down is not finished falling. It is resting on whatever stopped it, and the weight moves the moment a cut is made. We lift it off the roof, the fence or the car with a grapple truck, cut it where it is safe to cut, and haul all of it the same visit.

Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Emergency and storm calls are prioritized ahead of routine work.

Where did it land?

Six places a tree ends up.

6 of them

  • Uprooted tree fallen against a house
    01

    On the roof

The tree is holding up the part of the roof it broke. It comes off in pieces from the lift and the grapple, never dragged.

  • Tree fallen across a paved drive
    02

    Across the driveway

Usually the first call after a storm. Cut clear, loaded, and you can get the car out.

  • Tree fallen onto a screened pool enclosure
    03

On the fence or the pool cage

The fence is what is bearing the load. We take the weight off before anything is cut so the rest of it does not come down too.

  • Large limb fallen onto a parked car
    04

On a car or a shed

Lifted straight up and off with the grapple, then sectioned on the ground.

  • Uprooted tree on a lawn with the root plate standing
    05

In the yard, root plate up

The easy one, except the root plate can stand back up when the trunk is cut. We handle the stump and the hole.

  • Broken limb hung up in the crown of another tree after a storm
    06

    Hung up in another tree

Not on the ground yet, which makes it the most dangerous one here. That is storm damage removal.

Grapple truck lifting a trunk section into the bed

We own the equipment most crews rent, and the companies that hire us for it include Boeing, Amazon and Lowe's.

The tree is under load. Every cut changes where the load goes.

  • 01

    Do not cut it yourself.

A trunk resting on a roof or a fence is bent and loaded like a spring. Cutting it with a chainsaw releases that load in whichever direction it wants, which is how people get hurt and how a damaged roof becomes a collapsed one. Tarp what you can reach safely and leave the tree alone.

  • 02

The grapple takes the weight before the saw touches it.

We lift the trunk or the crown enough to unload what it is resting on, then cut. On a roof that means the section comes up and away rather than sliding down the shingles.

  • 03

    Access first, then everything else.

If the tree is across the driveway or the road in, we clear a lane before we do anything else, so you can get out and the adjuster can get in.

  • 04

    Photograph it before we start.

Your insurer will want the tree on the structure, not the clean roof afterwards. We will wait while you shoot it, and we can send you what we photograph for the job file.

  • 05

The stump and the hole are part of it.

An uprooted tree leaves a root plate and a crater. We grind the stump, knock the plate down and fill the hole so the yard is not a hazard once the tree is gone.

What happens when we get there.

  • Walk it and find what is bearing the load.

The roof, the fence, the ground, another tree. That decides the first lift and the first cut.

  • Unload it.

Grapple on the heavy end, weight off the structure, then a cut that cannot move anything.

  • Section it where it lies.

Crown first, then trunk, in lengths the grapple can lift straight onto the truck.

  • Haul, grind, leave it clear.

Wood and brush leave on the truck or go to mulch. Stump ground on request. Nothing burned on site.

Our equipment

The machines that get a fallen tree off your property in one visit.

A fallen oak is a few tons of wood in the wrong place. These three move it without a second truck, a second crew or a curb pile that waits for pickup.

  • TR grapple truck loading limbs and debris

    01

    Grapple truck

    On the job
Lifts the trunk off the structure, then loads every section straight into the bed.
    Why it matters
It is the difference between a tree lifted clear of your roof and one dragged across it. It is also why the debris leaves the same day.
  • TR 62ft Imer boom lift extended into a tree

    02

    62ft Imer boom lift

    On the job
For the part of the crown that is still up: a top hung on the roof ridge, a limb still attached at height.
    Why it matters
Cutting down onto a roof from a ladder is how a fallen tree becomes an injury. The lift puts the cut above the roof.
  • TR giant mini loader moving heavy sections on a job site

    03

    Giant mini loader

    On the job
Carries sections from a backyard through the side gate without a track across the sod.
    Why it matters
Most fallen trees are behind the house. The loader gets them out of a fenced yard without taking the fence with them.

Stump grinders come on the same visit when the tree has left a plate or a stub. Full fleet on the equipment page.

What people ask with a tree on the house.

  • Stay out from under it and away from anything it is resting on. If a wire is involved, stay away from the wire and call FPL. Tarp what you can reach without climbing. Photograph the tree where it lies. Then call us.

  • We would rather you did not. A trunk under load moves when it is cut, and a limb across a driveway is often what is keeping the rest of the tree where it is. Send us a photo and we will tell you whether it is safe to touch.

  • FPL, first. They clear the line and the drop. We take the tree from there. Do not go near a line that is down or a tree that is on one.

  • Often less than removing the same tree standing, because the felling is done. What moves the number is what it is lying on: a roof or a cage takes rigging and a lift, a lawn does not. Estimates are free and written before we start. The pricing guide covers the rest.

  • Policies differ, and the answer usually turns on whether the tree hit a covered structure. We will give you the photos and the invoice your adjuster asks for.

  • Storm and emergency calls go ahead of routine work. We do not publish a response time because the honest answer depends on how many trees came down that day, and we will tell you where you are in the line when you call.

  • Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. After a storm, call and we will tell you what we can do.

  • Yes. Wood, brush and the small stuff leave on the grapple truck or go to mulch. We do not leave a curb pile and we do not burn on site.

  • If the tree uprooted, we knock the root plate down, grind what is left and fill the hole. If it snapped, the stump gets ground like any other. Both are on the estimate as their own line so you can choose.

Send us a photo of where it landed.

Two pictures tell us what is bearing the load and what it will take to lift it. We call you back with a plan and a written number.
